Silicone Impregnated Fiberglass – Flame retardant, a fiberglass fabric coated with a specially formulated foam rubber resists temperatures up to 500F. Featuring a char length of .3 in. max, afterglow of 1 second max, and a flame out of 1 second max, it optimizes resistance to abrasions, tears, and punctures, increases flexibility, and delivers exceptional service life.
Temp Mat – Able to resist temperatures up to 1200F, this fiberglass mat, composed of 100% “E” type glass fibers put into web form without chemical binders, is fire resistant and incombustible. It features an “R” value of 4.35 per inch.
TRS10 – For applications from subzero to 1000F, this flexible white blanket of inorganic glass fibers bonded with proprietary thermoset resin is noncorrosive and won’t accelerate corrosion on copper, aluminum, or steel.
Ceramic Fiber – Made of composite silica and alumina blend, this flexible material features ceramic fibers that are cross-locked and needled into mat form. It is noncombustible, recommended for extreme temperature conditions, and offers a high temperature rating of 2300F.
Stainless Steel Mesh – Made of type 304 stainless steel and knitted into a tubular fabric, the design construction achieves elevated operating temperatures in excess of 1100F. Not only durable, long lasting, and vibration resistant, it offers a temperature rating of 1200F.
Thread – Flame retardant polyester coating over type 304 ultra fine stainless steel wire strands features a temperature rating of 1,000F to 2,000F.
Velcro – Heat, chemical, and water resistant, velcro is wonderfully durable, can be easily removed and reapplied quickly and without tools, and is available in different types from nylon to stainless steel, with temperature ratings from -70F to 800F.
- Lacing Pins and Wire – Recommended for higher temperature applications and heavier covers, both are made with type 304 stainless steel and can be easily removed and reapplied with tools to inspect, service, and repair equipment.
